Now, THIS item I've got below is something I'd been searching for QUITE a while! I remembered it from MY childhood, and I'd wanted to have it again for a L-O-N-G time. It's the Public Service Announcement poster for the Presidential Physical Fitness Award!
This poster must've been hung in school gyms all around the country, as well as having the inside front cover of probably hundreds of comicbooks, especially DC's.
Of course, I recognize Superboy, Robin, Boy (I seem to recall ONE kid actually knowing him as Korak!), and David. But who were the others, and WHO was that girl dressed like Superboy? Girls were ICKY! LOL :)
This poster was the NEATEST thing I'd ever seen back then, and I must've burned a few thousand holes staring into it so many times. Heh.
This thing actually INSPIRED me to post all of the other psa's I've got up! :)

All right, I'm back with more of the PSA's that appeared in comics in the past. I DON'T think you'll ever see this sort of thing in comics nowadays, unfortunately. They're too much goofy fun (That's a GOOD thing!) and comics are far too dark for this sort of thing anymore. :(
I miss those days. As goofy as they may've been, they were a HECK of a lot more fun than what DC and Marvel are dishing out now. :)

Hello, again! I'm back with more schtuff for you to (hopefully) enjoy! :)
Back in the very early 1970's, Sesame Street came into being. They did NOT always use Big Bird, Bert & Ernie, or Oscar The Grouch to teach little ones about life, though.
No! Someone at PBS had the brilliant idea to use Superman and Batman on the show! :) I only have three of their appearances, though, as I'm missing one of each of their guest-shots. The one I'm missing of Superman had him teaching kids about the letter "D" and Batman was teaching kids the difference between "clean" and "dirty."
The following appeared in DC Comics circa 1970 to help promote the show, and the heroes' appearances. :)
Below, I've got one of the Superman shorts, and two of Batman's shorts. (Wait. That didn't sound quite right, did it?) ;)
I always loved the fact that not only did they use the classic animation from the Superman/Batman cartoon series on CBS from a few years earlier, but they'd also gotten ahold of the voice actors to portray Batman, Robin, and Joker! Unfortunately, Bud Collyer had passed away just a few months prior to the show's debut.

Good morning! :) I've got a few more psa's for you to check out. I used to get a kick out of these ads as a kid. It was always a thrill to see Superman, Superboy, or another hero in one of these strips. I even counted it as a bonus when the book or main story didn't even FEATURE them! LOL :)
