And all of you DO know you're more than welcome to join me at the message boards, right? I've got links to 'em throughout this blog, but I'll post the ones I moderate later. :)

Right now, these banners all came from the Batman and Comic Battles Message Boards. :)

Several More Banners!

All right, I've got some more banners here for all of ye to check out. Remember, too: If ANY of you think you can do BETTER at makin' these banners than me, come on by the boards and submit some! I GUARANTEE they will be used! I moderate the Justice League Of America, DC Comics, Superman, and Golden-Silver-Bronze Ages Message Boards, so you can be assured any banners submitted to these boards will be shown to all visit the boards. I prefer banners made in the 750 x 300 size, though I've got some older banners made in the old format (600 x 200) that I haven't used up yet. I'm using THOSE before I use any of my newer ones. :)

Now here are the banners I've recently used on the following boards.

DC Comics
Golden-Silver-Bronze Ages
Justice League Of America
Superman

Now, I'm SURE some of you (if not all) can do better than me! And it IS kind'a fun makin' these banners. I find it has a nice calming effect on me, and feels sort of therapeutic (sp?). Go ahead and try, and you can go to the boards and e-mail me from there! I've got the links to the boards right above the banners here! :)

I'll be back later this week with more banners for all of you, so you can see what KIND of competition I'm offerin' ya! ;) See ya then! :)

"Live Action" Banners!

Hey, there! :)

This time, all of the banners I've got were all from TV shows and/or movies, thus the "live action" tag. :)

These were all posted on the Batman, Golden-Silver-Bronze Ages, and Superman Message Boards, as you can see. :)

Hope you like 'em! :)

Well, I hope you like these banners, as well as the cartoons I posted earlier. Come on by the message boards, and you can participate in all the discussions you like! :) See you all later! :)

The World's Finest! Part II

Good morning/afternoon/evening! Whatever time of day it is, I wish you a GOOD one! :)

This time, I've got a couple of Superman and Batman banners with the two heroes together. I'd submitted these for the Golden-Silver-Bronze Ages Message Board and thought that now's as good a time as any to share them with ye. :)

Now, they're NOT very fancy, but I'm got some MUCH better ones to show later, AFTER they get used. Otherwise, what's the point of submitting 'em to be used as banners? :)

Now, I've ALWAYS been partial to Superman and Batman, and I suppose that's due to my being raised on the old George Reeves Adventures Of Superman show, and the old Adam West Batman show.

I suppose THIS is also as good a time as any to share this game I'd invented some time back called "Cast YOUR Superman Movie!"

Here are some possible casts that you may or may NOT like. ;)

The World's Finest!

Hay, their! ;) I'm back with some more banners, and this time I've got Superman and Batman (along with the Joker). These are almost all the actors who'd portrayed the three characters at the time I'd made the banners. I'd left out all of the Superboys since there wouldn't have been any room to include them! ;)

I was ALWAYS sorry I never got to see the George Reeves Superman meet up with the Adam West Batman on TV when I was growing up in the '60's, like they had in the comics. How INSANELY cool would THAT have been? Get an actor in a bald cap to portray Luthor, and you'd've had a WINNER. :)

These banners were seen on the Superman and Batman Message Boards.

Without further ado, here are all of the banners. :)

Kirk Alyn, George Reeves, Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain, and Brandon Routh

Lewis Wilson, Robert Lowery, Adam West, and Michael Keaton

Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, and Heath Ledger

That'll do it for now, but I WILL be back later with MORE banners for your perusal. :)

Three Cheers For The Red, White, And Blue (And Black & White)!

Captain America's been a favorite of mine for several years, and here are some banners I made for the Gold-Silver-Bronze Ages and the Captain America Message Boards.

Speaking of the Golden-Silver-Bronze Ages Message Board, I just became Moderator there! Come on over and pay us a visit! :)

Now here are the patriotic banners. I was pretty much inspired to do so with the movie which came out this summer, which was a HECK of a lotta fun! :)

The last one was fun, in that I always get a kick out of seeing the different live-action versions of different heroes in different variations of the same costume. :)

I'll be back with more later! :)

More Golden-Silver-Bronze Age!

These two banners appeared on the Golden-Silver-Bronze Ages Message Board, and I'll have a few more up in the coming weeks and months. :)

Not too much to say about this banner, except it was a little fun to showcase the different outfits Batman and Robin wore in 1949 and 1966. I even added the Bat-fight sound effects on the top of the banner when I made it 2-3 years ago. :)

This is another joke banner I'd made like the Superman/Blackhawk banner, except this time, the actor is Tom Tyler. He portrayed Captain Marvel and Phantom in the very early 1940's. His Captain Marvel captured the flying special effects not improved upon until the first Christopher Reeve Superman film came out in 1978. I also found his Phantom serial to be a LOT of fun to watch, but unfortunately neither serial saw a true sequel. The Phantom did (SORT of), but the hero only wore the Phantom's mask and cowl and was called Captain Africa.

I'll have more posts put up later! :)

POW! ZAP! BIFF!

It's time for some Batman banners now, in case you couldn't guess from the title. :) Banners such as these and more can be found on the Batman Message Board.

Heh. I always imagined this banner as being like a Rorschach ink blot. :) See how everything is copied on each end? Of COURSE you do! :)

I've always liked "Batman and Robin" more than just plain "Batman," so a lot of my banners reflect that. I never liked most of the "team-ups" of the early 1970's, though. Most of the stories seemed to consist of Robin getting captured and Batman getting all the action while going to his rescue. It seems like most of the '70's writers only liked Batman, and saw Robin as nothing but an easy way to make their hero look good.

I always loved the 1949 serial, and the '66 TV show. When I found the "Bat-crossing" sign on-line, I KNEW I had to make use of it, as in the banner above. :)

I had been searching for the three images above for a LONG time. I FINALLY found 'em a few months back, and was able to create not only this banner, but a very similar one on the Gold-Silver-Bronze Ages board. This banner also made me want to copy those stupid newspaper headlines about comics. Almost EVERY one always begins with "Pow! Zap! Biff!", so I figured I could use it since I love the characters. :)

Stay tuned for more banners coming up! :)

A Few More!

Okay, these weren't part of the Cartoon Board, but rather the Golden, Silver, Bronze Ages Message Board. Now, at this writing, I don't have a banner up on the board, but I think I have a few on a COUPLE of boards. :)

Click on the link above if you think you might like to check out the board. :)

The above banner was also used for a Yahoo fan club for old serials I once ran. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the copy that stated it was for the Gold-Silver-Bronze Board, but otherwise it's the same. I grew up on these old serials, and they're still a LOT of fun. If you've got a superhero fan in your life, you might want to look into getting them a copy of their favorite hero in an old serial. :)

The next banner actually features the same actor portraying two different serial heroes back in the 1940's: Superman and Blackhawk, hence the joke. Kirk Alyn was actually one of the bigger serial stars along with Buster (Flash Gordon) Crabbe and a few others.

I'll have more later! I have over 100 more, with more which haven't been used yet. :)
